Our mission is to cultivate both qualified engineers and future academics and researchers in the fields of artificial intelligence and data engineering, equipping individuals with the competence to develop ethical, explainable, and human-centred systems that can rapidly adapt to current and future artificial intelligence techniques.
Our programme aims to generate scientific knowledge across a broad spectrum, from artificial intelligence models to physical artificial intelligence systems, to support interdisciplinary interaction and to produce innovative solutions that generate social benefit.
VISION
Our vision is to be a pioneering research and education centre that shapes the artificial intelligence architectures, data ecosystems and physical artificial intelligence technologies of the future; disseminates an ethical, reliable and explainable understanding of artificial intelligence at national and international levels; and trains engineers and academics worldwide. Our department aims to be a globally respected and influential institution that anticipates paradigm shifts in artificial intelligence, develops next-generation models, and transforms these technologies for the benefit of society.
